Giles pointedly ignored him, totally exasperated. His unwanted houseguest yammered on nonstop all day like a kindergartner high on sweets and puppies.

 

“Oi!”

 

He leaned forward in his chair, reading from the digest. “Will little Timmy wake in time to defeat-“

 

Spike rattled his chains. “Don’t you spoil Passions for me, Watcher! I’ll-”

 

“Patrol was lame,” Buffy grumbled, entering the apartment. “Wait! Giles, is he… threatening you?”

 

A feral grin spread across his face. “Why, yes he is.”

 

“Rupert!” Spike begged as Buffy stalked closer, stake in hand. “Call yer Slayer off!”
