He reads the same page twice, thrice, and a fourth time before finally shutting the book. He replaces the book. His fingers skim the titles he knows so well. These aren't his father's books. They aren't his assigned reading, and he's pretty sure every current Watcher would be gobsmacked if they knew the books he's turned to for years.
But they're not helping this time. He needs something more than what these old pages can offer. He lifts the phone, dials a number he knows by heart, and smiles when he's answered. "Ethan," he says and knows he'll be okay.
