Drabble - Dress Rehearsal

Title: Dress Rehearsal
Author: littleotter73
Characters: Giles, Xander, Andrew
Rating: FRC
Setting: Set during Chosen
Word Count: 100

“You won!” Andrew declared excitedly.

Giles blinked myopically at the boy, having taken off his glasses hours ago, his eyes tired and unfocused, but his body hyped up on pre-battle nerves.

“Your dwarf… he won. He made it through.”

Giles stared incredulously at the twenty sided die.

“That’s so not fair!” Xander whined through a yawn, his head perched on his arms and his eyes closed. “The newbies always win.”

“Should we start another campaign?” Andrew asked, raring to go.

Giles stood, placing his hand on the boy’s shoulder. “The real one starts in six hours. Best get some rest.”

Drabble: A Friend Indeed

Title: A Friend Indeed
Author: il-mio-capitano
Length: 100
Rating: FRT
Characters: Giles, Ethan

"Better get some rest." Ethan cast the spell quickly, catching Rupert by the chest as he fell unconscious.

His doorbell had rung furiously at 2am, and there had been Rupert, tired, panicky, and more shit scared than Ethan had ever seen him. The First Evil had declared open war against the Council, against it's Watchers, against Buffy. He needed weapons, he needed a phone, a fax, a computer even.

Crazy talk of course, because Ethan knew best how to survive being hunted. What Ripper really needed was a place to hide, a place to think. He needed to go dark.

Drabble - Catharsis

Title: Catharsis
Author: [livejournal.com profile] littleotter73
Characters: Giles, Quentin Travers
Rating: FRT
Setting: Season 6, after Giles returns home after Buffy’s death
Word Count: 100
A/N: Took up the last line challenge from [livejournal.com profile] feliciacraft

“What does the Slayerless Watcher watch, hmm?” Quentin Travers gloated. “I thought you should know, Rupert, your Slayer will not appear on The Wall of Honour.”

Giles defiantly met the malicious gaze of his superior. “You must be joking! Buffy saved the world... again! She faced a god and defeated her!”

“She should’ve sacrificed the Key! Now we have one dead Slayer and one languishing in prison. The world is left without a champion. Always the selfish bitch!”

Without a moment’s hesitation Giles unleashed his emotions - anger, grief, and overwhelming pride for his Slayer. The bastard never saw it coming.
