He lay in a haze, his feet and hands idly thumping to his rocking beat reverberating through his flat. Candles flickered. He inhaled, exhaled, and inhaled again. He looked to his ceiling and then flew to the sky. Blues, pinks, greens, and yellows danced around him. He smiled and took another puff.
Mist swirled around him. His duties lay forgotten. Angry words no longer stung. But then the mist parted. He opened as, for a moment, he saw her. He sat up suddenly. His mission in life wasn't to be a Watcher. It was to find that young, beautiful blonde.
