The diaries he’d read over the years had educated him on different types of Slayers - great ones, the not so great, obedient ones, recalcitrant ones, and ones who’d gone rogue. All providing lessons to prepare an Active Watcher in his duty to train the Slayer and serve the Council.
Yet not two minutes into meeting his Slayer, she’d frustratingly had him on the ropes. Looking grimly at the books on his shelves, Giles knew he’d need to find a different way. In a fit of exasperation, he grabbed his copy of the Slayers Handbook and tossed it into the bin.
