FF: Balcony View
Title: Balcony View
Author: Quaggy
Word Count: 900
Prompt: "Exit, pursued by a bear"
Summary: High up on a nightclub balcony. Buffy has a lot to say about the newbie Slayers hunting below. Giles has other things on his mind.
Notes: So this wound up being too long to be considered a "Short", but, since it was inspired by one of the Shakespeare prompts this month, I thought I'd leave the links here.
You can find the work either on my LJ or on AO3.

Of course, there is the cute turn the story takes when we find out that there are two different anniversaries, they are celebrating that evening: their ten year as partners and their three week as lovers... and it is very endearing that it is Giles who is keeping count of their time together as a couple.
Very in character. Great dialogue. And of course, you got the prompt in two different times and it original ways, so bravo! You should get extra points for that. :)

I didn't think about it, but you're right that it's Giles keeping count of their time. Not that Buffy isn't, because she realized what he was talking about pretty quick, but I don't think she was expecting it to be such a big deal for Giles and it's probably making her melt, even if she is giving him a hard time. ;-)
