Opening his front door, Giles saw first a sprig of mistletoe suspended over a bottle of wine, and then the warm eyes of Jenny Calendar.

“Jenny,” he spluttered, conscious his voice was about an octave too high. She smiled playfully back.

“How do you feel about some wassailing, Rupert?”

“Um. Generally I feel good about it, but um…” He broke off as she stepped inside and wrapped her arms over his shoulders

“It's the night before Christmas,” she teased. “And all through the house, not a creature was staring not even a - my god! Is that Xander on the couch?”

This so, so in character for Jenny and just reaffirms how much I hate her! LOL Her assumption that he's just waiting around for her to rescue him from his dull and dreary life and then pushing her way in without him getting a word in edgewise is certainly her way.vAnd good on Giles for taking care of Xander!
