Buffy hurried into the library, carrying a large box. “This is all I could find. Cleaned out all the stores and even stole what was in the student’s lounge.”

Xander peered inside. “Perfect.”

“Eww, flies!” Willow gagged.

“And spiders, roaches, centipedes, snakes… All the rubber Halloween goodness!”

“I still think this is bad. Giles’ll be back any minute.”

“Wil, you keep watch. Buffy, start opening all the drawers you can find. Every time he reached for so much as a pen, he’ll get a handful of creepy-crawlies.”

“He’ll be pissed,” Buffy giggled.

“That’s why we don’t let him catch us!”

Awwww, I find this very cute and in-character! Plus, it's a great example of the tried and true drabble strategy of using dialogue to the greatest possible extent-- the voices came through really nicely here!

And the idea of Giles discovering the prank and realizing the effort that was put forth-- PRECIOUS. <3

Thank you. I'm glad you liked the use of dialogue. We're just gonna have to wait 'til the 31st to find out how Giles reacts. Two more drabbles to try to fit into the arc... I'm only slightly panicking.

And don't think I didn't notice you picked the shortest thing possible to love on. But I'm desperate, so I'll take it.
