Drabble - Resolved
Title: Resolved
Author: littleotter73
Character: Giles
Rating: FRC
Word Count: 100
Setting: Pre-series
Disclaimer: For fun, not profit.
A/N: This is an epilogue for the fic I wrote and posted on shorts previously called True to One's Nature.
Rupert finished the last of his beer, willing the horrifying images from his mind. It was the stuff of nightmares, his reality. He'd been lost in a terrified haze until the bartender bellowed last call. Pushing away from the bar, he went to find the gents and found a payphone instead, debating with himself until he finally made a decision.
His hands trembled with fear when he heard the groggy, familiar voice come over the line. Taking a deep breath to steady himself, he pushed the coin in and said, "Hello, Dad? Yeah... it's me. I want to come home."

I hope you enjoy the other. It's the first full fic I've written about pre-series Giles (although it's a very short fic by my standards). Usually I reserve that subject for drabbles, but it felt right to explore it.
