“Rupert, I don’t know how you are able to use these.”

She drew a handkerchief from her pocket. “Wrap this around like this.” Taking her son’s hand in hers, she demonstrated while she spoke. “Now apply gentle pressure to both sides of the glass.” 

They finished with the first, then repeated the action on the second. He went to hand the cloth back to his mum. “You keep it. I find blurring my vision, at times; can actually give way to clearer thoughts.

Giles smiled as he packed the threadbare cloth into his suitcase. He was gonna need a clear head when he started teaching his Slayer.
