“Vampires love a good party,” Buffy supplied. “Hence their love for the Bronze.”

The proto slayers sat before her, a mixture of rapt attention and impatient boredom.

She looked around the room. “So… yeah. Dark, loud, dancing, hooking up, whatever. Every patrol should include a trip to the Bronze.”

That piqued the interest of the older crowd.

“But it’s not an excuse to shirk your duty,” she reminded sternly.

“God, anyone would think that she was the stuffy Watcher,” Kennedy grumbled.

Faith grimaced. “Oh, Giles is a lot more fun.”

Rona rolled her eyes. “God, just start the apocalypse already!”
