The five young adults were running.

“What happened?”

“Don’t know.”

“The manager, at the Pump, said he cancelled; something about an injured list.”

Buffy pulled away from the group. Upon reaching the door, she burst through, “Giles! Giles, where are you?”

He stepped out from the kitchen, “Buffy is something wrong?”

She looked him over. No obvious injuries. She threw her arms around her watcher. “I heard you cancelled your show at the Pump; that you were hurt.”

Giles giggled. She gave him a perplexed look. “Buffy, I received a rather nasty paper cut to my left index finger. I can’t hold the chords properly.”

“Well, that’s good.” She stepped out of his embrace, “Don’t ever do that again” she said as she punched him in the arm.

“Ow, Bloody hell.”

“Sorry, I’ll get the ice.”
