They wouldn’t have to be witnesses to the carnage he was about to evoke. As the words left his mouth the fire consumed the body of Eyghon/Randall. He had just enough time to exit the building before it imploded. The guilt was eating at him. If only I had stayed at Oxford. If only I had chosen to be the one possessed tonight. If Only….

“If only we had the keys we could go and warn Buffy.” Xander flapped his arms in frustration at the locked cop car next to them. “Just what do Watchers do anyway? Why couldn't you come with a Tardis or a flying carpet? We need magick in a hurry here, Giles!”

“It does seem to be something of an emergency doesn't it?”

“Enough with the tweed understatement!” But he stopped at the sound of an engine firing and Giles opening the passenger door for him. “Whoa?”

Giles shrugged and dropped the wires under the glovebox.

“It's a kind of magic.”
