Summary: There was trust once.
TRUST
"Come on, I won't let you come to any harm."
"Promise" came the unsure question, from the five year old.
"I promise son. I will keep you safe." His father replied.
The boy waded out from the shallow end of the pool and into his father's out stretched arms. All his trust was in the man who had never gone back on a promise.
And while Rupert's father held his son he knew, one day, he'd have to break that promise.
