"What next, going to tuck me into bed while you're at it?" Giles waved away the proffered bag of frozen peas and grabbed the aspirin instead.

Anya beamed. “Oh! Is that what I need to do to "go above and beyond"? To be Employee of the Month? Sure, boss!”

His head throbbed where it had collided with an enraged demon’s fist, so perhaps he’d misheard. “Anya, you’re the only employee here.”

“The only employee worthy of the recognition — I know!” Anya pushed Giles into a chair, muttering, “Unlike some pimply-faced corner store temp who won’t even sell me a 6-pack!”
