She looks at him with such big and trusting eyes; he just wants to pull her into his arms, hug her tightly, and never let her go again. She gushes her appreciation. He mumbles in return for how can he tell her there's no thanks needed? He knows what words he would use if he could, but it's not his place. It's not his place to be her father or friend, to have fallen in love with her, to be anything more than her Watcher, but all the time she's saying thanks, he's wanting to return the words and more.
