“Retirement? After all I’ve been through?”
Buffy took his hand.
“Giles, that’s rather the point.”
“But Glory is still out there. And The Master, he will rise again. We need to get back to the library and research –“
“Giles!” She squeezed his hand and fixed him in the eye. “Come back to me.”
“Oh.” He stopped and looked around the sunny patio and at the autumn trees turning golden. “I did it, again didn’t I? He ran a hand self-consciously through his grey hair. “Sorry. One too many blows to the head.”
“It’s OK. I’m still here for you.”
