He had looked for her throughout all Sunnydale. He had searched through every Demon pit and lair in the Hellmouth for her before finally dragging his weary body home that Christmas Eve. He stopped ten steps away from his door and knew he gawked for there she stood at long last. She was beaten, bloody, and bruised. Her arms hung worriedly loosely by her sides, but there she was, the most beautiful sight he'd ever had waiting for him underneath the mistletoe. He raced to take her into his arms, kiss her deeply, and take care of her every wound.
