"Giles, what have you done?" he asked himself miserably as the wheels lifted off the ground. Every fiber in his body cried out that it was a mistake, leaving her so soon after finding out she'd been ripped from heaven... but then, part of him had known she'd been there all along. He'd just been waiting for her to confide in him.
Perhaps that was where he'd gone wrong.
It seemed every decision he'd made since returning to the States had been the wrong one. But he couldn't sit around and wait any longer. He wasn't the man she wanted.
