A/N: I often write to music and sometimes I forget to write down which piece has inspired a particular scene. This one was written to a beautiful piece of music called Falling Leaves by Christian Smith.
Giles sits beneath the great oak, book in hand and her head in his lap as she counts the falling leaves. He’s lost interest in his novel so he caresses her cheek, murmuring loving endearments. Buffy’s eyes sparkle and she laces her fingers through his, bringing them up to her lips.
Lifting his eyes upon hearing their children laughing and chasing each other in the field below, Giles smiles, watching their antics. She kisses him and takes off running, triumphantly catching both boys in her arms, twirling them around. His heart is full and he revels in their glorious giggles.
