He remembers phoning his father amidst the viscera, blood, and chaos in heightened focus. Everything after is a blur. He’s unsure how he got here, sitting alone, waiting endless hours in an unfurnished office, half dressed and still covered in gore.

His blood caked hands shake uncontrollably - he’s distressed, exhausted, frightened, and coming down from the magicks and drugs.

He’s aware the Council brass are punishing him, seeing how he responds, yet he’s unable hold his emotions back anymore as disconsolate sobs come unrestrained and falls to his knees when the painful retching starts, knowing he’ll never exorcise this demon.
